Weekend Fun.

I had such a eventful weekend. My weekend overall was fantastic! These were only the HIGHLIGHTS of my Weekend!!

Friday;

Friday morning was just a usual morning. Coffee in bed, get ready for work and then try and be productive till 5pm.

But then Wimpie called and said that if I behaved (and I always behave) he will buy me a pair of shoe's I saw at the Biatches Lifestyle Boutique.

Isn't it just lovely. (Not my leg though) Gorgeous Shoe by Urban Zone Footwear.

But the ultimate of my Friday was that a dear friend and her husband were coming over for dinner.

Wimpie made dinner, because of course I can't cook and would have poisoned the poor guests.
Wimpie made yummy White Wine Chicken Pasta for dinner and LeeAnne & Loedi made Don Pedro's for desert.
We had such a lovely evening, relaxing and chatting. Even a few great laughs.

But Friday had to end and they had to leave. But it was great!! So Blessed to have such awesome people in my life!

Saturday;

Saturday started out as a normal day until I received a email from Kesha from Jacaranda 94.2FM saying that I was chosen to interview Jana Strydom on her show at Monte Casino Saturday evening. I was so excited, I can't describe the feeling I felt. But I'll tell you more in my next blog post!

After the interview, we had dinner at Monte Casino and just walked around for a bit!!

But then again Saturday came to a end.

Sunday;

Well after all Saturday's excitment I was planning on spending my Sunday in my pj's and watching movies or something.

But then Wimpie decided we were going to the Reptile Farm. But we got there and it just didn't seem as exciting as it looked. And I had been nagging him about Bobby van Jaarsveld which was doing a concert in Hillfox.

So Wimpie being awesome as always took US (the whole family) to go have a look at him. But we ended up walking around the flee market and having Steak Rolls for lunch instead. And what would the flee market be without having those tiny donuts.!

And so Sunday also had to become night, to get us all ready for Monday.

That was my weekend friends.

Happy Monday!

I cannot believe it is the last day of February 2011 already.

Week 9, Day 59 with only 306 days left. Scary to think we will be celebrating Christmas in 10 months again!

But yes, it's Monday again. I must say Monday hasn't been what I wanted it to be, but I had such a great weekend I'm not to bothered!

Just another Day!

Tomorrow is FRIDAY. Thank Goodness! This week has been just a little bit too long.

But I'm also excited about tomorrow, because a Special friend is coming over for Dinner. I am super excited to see her & meet her husband!
Although I won't be doing the cooking, I'll be helping Wimpie! Or I'll be trying atleast.

I'm so Blessed to have such great people in my life. People who motivate me, and help me! But I also have people in my life, which only wish sadness upon me. People who won't see my success, only my failures. But I think I've out grown those people. I don't need all the negative remarks or comments.

I'm trying a new thing from this moment on. In every negative situation, I'll see something positive. If someone is negative towards me, I'll be positive towards them. I am a woman on a mission, I have something I need to get out there. Nothing can stop me. I am stronger than ever, I want to see this through. Whatever it takes I will do what I have to do.

Life's up and downs provide windows of oppertunity to determine your values and goals. Think of using all obstacles as stepping stones to build the life you want. I don't want a perfect life, all I want is a life with my son, family and friends. I can handle the rest.

I've come this far. I'm not planning on giving up anytime soon. No matter how much people wish it uopn me, or have negative things to say about me. I'll shine, through all my postive values!!

My New Challenge!

Today I made a "life changing" decision. I have never really knew what I wanted to do with my life, career wise I mean.

When I was younger (not that I'm old, I am only 22) before my son I dreamt of becoming a Lawyer. But I just never per sued that dream! It only became a distant memory, not because my son was stopping me. But financially and time wise.

I know not many people believe that I will make this happened, but I don't need their belief. I need my own. I know I will make a great career out of this.

I have decided to study Freelance Journalism. I know I might not seem like the perfect Journalist now, but I think I'll become a very great one!
I also know my blog writing isn't so awesome, but thats why I'm going to study.

Wimpie, Rudi, Tiaan and my friends are backing me all the way.
And that's all the motivation I'll need. And if this is my passion and I do enjoy journalism, I'll even think of getting my Masters & Honors in Journalism.

This little girl has big dreams. So friends, watch this space!

The other day I was "window shopping" in Foschini when I noticed they were having a sale. They had these lovely Vintage Swimwear on sale. Since I saw them, I've loved the look.

2. Spaghetti Bolognaise.

Hmmmm, I know it's a lot of carbs. But I love pasta, and Spaghetti is my favourite!!

3. Water.

Water is good for you! That's why I love it! Not that I drink my 8 glasses a day, but I am trying!

I love her style, acting, hair and smile!

My "must watch" comedy!!

I love Romantic Comedy's. Or maybe it's just my girly side! But this movie had me in tears. I also want this kind of love story!

The Girl behind the Smile.

Who am I really? What secrets hide behind my Smile?

Past few day's I've been thinking alot of negative things. I've been searching for reasons to avoid the truth, of who I really am.

I'm not famous, not successful, not married, not old, not young, not beautiful, not ugly, not a girl, not yet a woman.

But I AM a Mother, a daughter, someone who is loved, I am ME.

I tend to wake up each morning and ask; "World where are you going to kick me today?" I seem to handle the negative easier then. Why? Not even I can answer that.

I'm not famous, no I'm not. But someday I will be. Not to society, or the world. But to the people who love me. To my Son. I already have all the fame and fortune I need! My 4 year old son, and the Wimpie and Rudi. They love me, no matter who I am, or what I've done. Therefor I AM FAMOUS!

I'm not successful, YET. I have dreams and goals, and even if it takes me a while to reach them. I'll get there.

I'm not married & happily inlove. I notice everybody getting married and I wonder if that will ever be me? Will I ever find the love I deserve? Yes, I will. All in good time, I have so much still to sort out in my life. Love will happened when I'm ready. Right now, I'm just not stable enough. I accept that!!

I'm not old, I'm 22 years old. I've been through a lot, but I'm still only a young adult, trying to find her way. Give me a break World!

I'm not young, age is only a number. I get that. And I had to mature at the age of 17 when I fell pregnant. So I know enough in life. I'm mature, even if I'm only 22.

I'm not beautiful, I might not look like the model on the cover of the Cosmo. But I'm fine with that! In the eyes of my son, I'm more unique than any other!!

My smile hides alot of pain, dissapointment and secrets. But my smile also holds happiness, dreams and love.

I was reminded yesterday, I'm only 22. I still have my whole life ahead of me to become the woman I want to be. Find my true love.

But for now, this girl with the broken smile is living life.

My "Top 10 Like's" of the week!

This week's post is slighty different, it's not entirely about "My Like's". I've been sick and haven't had time to think about my like's, so I asked the family for their's.

1. Prada. (Rudi's choice)

I'm not such a huge fan, but I love their sunglasses!

2. Wimpie's Potatoes. (Wimpie choice)

Weird I know! But Wimpie makes these really rad potatoes. Really yummy!

3. Wimpie's Pannekoekies. (Wimpie's choice)

I know you call then "Milk Tarts" but Wimpie calls it Pannekoekies. Dammit have I had a hangover because of these guys!! But they taste so yummy.

4. Wimpie! (Wimpie's choice)

This is my awesome boss!! He is the best... He also goes shopping for me, dresses me, blowdrys my hair and goes to Doctor appointments with me. What more could I ask for?!

5. Karen Walker. (Wimpie & Rudi's choice)

Wimpie & Rudi love Will & Grace. They watch it every night, even though it's repeats. Wimpie wants a best friend like Karen! Maybe I should start drinking Martini's at work and change my voice?!

6. Google. (Rudi's choice)

When I asked which book was their best read of the week, Rudi said Google. All I say ???

7. The Time! (Family choice)

I know everybody is over this song. And that it wouldn't have been such a big hit if their voices weren't engineered. But this song will always stay a hit. I <3 this song!! Proud to say it!!

8. Mcintyre's Roadshow. (Rudi's choice)

I'm not a fan of comedy show's!! But since I've been adopted by Wimpie & Rudi I haven't had a choice. ( They didn't really adopt me, but I am now their "daughter" in the house. )

9. Liefling! (Family Choice)

1. Silver Peep Toe Heels!

I only like them because I now own a pair!! Before, I couldn't stand them!! Still a lovely buy for my Miss Molly Fashions dress.

Over this past weekend I have eaten way to much red grilled meat. But I wouldn't want it any other way! I can't even last a week without red meat, so I'll never become a vegeterian!! Never.
